The Ministry of Ecology and Environment, together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Health Commission, has compiled the Second Draft of a List of Priority Controlled Chemicals for public comment until May 31, 2020.

The List of Priority Controlled Chemicals (Batch II) focuses on chemicals that have significant environmental and health hazards, are likely to persist in the environment for a long time, and may pose unreasonable risks to the ecological environment and human health.

The second batch contains 19 types of chemicals, covering industries such as petrochemicals, plastics, rubber, pharmaceuticals, textiles, dyes, leather, electroplating, non-ferrous metal smelting and mining.

The 19 classes of substances are: 2,4, 6-tert-butylphenol, triphenyl isopropylated phosphate, pentachlorophenol, benzo [a] pyrene and other 7 kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, pentachlorobenzene and other 3 kinds of chlorobenzene, cyanide, benzene, toluene, tri (2-chloroethyl) phosphate, diphenylphthalate (α-ethylhexyl) ester, etc. 4 Phthalates,1, 2-dichloropropane,1, 1-dichloroethyl,2, 4-dinitrotoluene, o-toluidine, thallium and its compounds, polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans, perfluorooctanoic acid and its salts and related compounds, hexachlorobutadiene, pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters.
